PLANT-MICROBES CROSS-TALK COMMUNICATION: IMPACT IN THE STABLISHMENT OF BACTERIAL COMUNITIES AND PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSE IN PLANTS
Bacteria are virtually capable of colonizing any surface, and an outstanding strategy contributing to their success is the formation of communities called biofilms. In our laboratory we are interested on the understanding of the assembly of such amazing bacterial communities during the interaction with plant surfaces. Besides the intrinsic the ability of bacterial cells, a major aspect in our project is dedicated to understand how the plants modulate this bacterial developmental program. This project financed for the European Research Council (Starting Grant) in the frame of Horizon 2020 seeks for highly motivated applicants with strong background in plant responses to biotic or abiotic stress, and trained in biochemistry, genetics and plant molecular biology, and metabolomics. Potential applicants should be opened to work in a molecular microbiology based laboratory with a multidisciplinary environment. Applications including a short CV and supporting letters should be sent to:
